Womad in Las Palmas 11-14 November 2010

Las Palmas' lovely Parque de Santa Catalina will once again play host to WOMAD Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. A traditional city square, Parque de Santa Catalina is surrounded by the natural beauty of Las Palmas, the golden sands of the beaches and the villages perched on hillsides.

It is not just the surrounding loveliness of Las Palmas that we offer you, WOMAD Las Palmas de Gran Canaria will be brought to life by the musicians and DJs that are invited to perform. Get ready to be enthralled by sights, instruments and sounds from across the world. Experience musicians creating their favourite dish at Taste The World. Learn about the artist- their culture and history, hear the secrets of the instruments they play and discover new dances at the adult workshops. Or introduce your little ones to the children's workshops where their artistic skills will be put to use making models and hats and other such wonders that they will parade around in the children's procession at the end of the weekend.
